Dr.Hauschka Introduces New Line in New Packaging

Dr.Hauschka Skin Care has introduced a regenerating line that aims to support the skin through its natural aging process. According to the company, these formulations contain a blend of natural botanical and mineral ingredients that work together to support the skin’s healthy processes of renewal and balance, helping skin to age subtly, gracefully and beautifully. The Regenerating Serum ($85/1fl oz.) is said to provide additional hydration, helping to bind moisture to the skin in a way traditional toners can’t. The Regenerating Day Cream ($79.95/1.35oz.) moisturizes and protects with five natural plant oils. The line is presented in totally new packaging for the brand.

Chaz Dean Rolls Out Eco-Friendly Line

Hollywood celebrity stylist Chaz Dean has launched a luxurious, eco-friendly line of skin and hair products called WEN ($10-$28). The amber-colored bottles lend an apothecary feel, but were chosen for their UV protection to prolong the products’ shelf life. Label design was created and photographed by Dean, and features images of rosemary, lavender, figs and cucumber, all products in his cleansing conditioners. The cleansing conditioning bottles use a pump delivery system; the oils use droppers. All bottles, pumps and labels use recycled materials.

ZO Creates New Skin Care Category

Spokespeople for the ZO Skin Health range, referred to as Rx Ceuticals, created by Dr. Zein Obagi, say he is not an ordinary dermatologist, nor is his new line an ordinary skin care line (the OTC line uses a retinol concentration 10-25 times higher than most OTC brands). The specialist claims that moisturizers can actually harm the skin by allowing skin cells to slow down; thus, his new signature line ($40-$325) is moisturizer-free. ZO’s Oclipse SPF 30 Sunscreen & Primer received the ICMAD award for Cosmetic Innovator of the Year in the package design category. In addition to the line’s luxurious color palette, Oclipse features a cool twist-and-turn actuator.
